Dan Kennedy, a famous direct-response marketer calls this “violating the norms” of your industry. He claims that the single most profitable thing you can do is to look around your industry. See how everyone else is doing things. Take careful notes. Then, intentionally:
Do The Exact OPPOSITE.
If everyone else is going for low-investment monthly memberships, go for High-End Clients.
If everyone else is using live events, go all virtual.
If everyone else does things one way… go in an entirely different direction.
Why would this work?
Because most people are following ‘norms' that have never been questioned and as a result, they no longer work optimally.
Here are a few ways I do this:
- I pick numbers for price points that big-name marketers and gurus would say are ‘wrong'.
- I don't offer guarantees to any of my programs
- I make people commit to my ‘Happy Money' policy before giving me a single penny, so I repel low-class clients and attract high-end 5 Star clients
I do all of this as a Spiritual Coach and when working in the coaching industry.
However, Jeanna takes this further and does it a little bit more intelligently than most other people.
For her, it's now just about doing things differently. It's about figuring out what is authentically in FLOW for you and doing things that way.
That level of intentionality has a strong energy behind it and your ideal 5* clients will instantly ‘get it' and be on board with your way of doing things.
