True story.
A couple of years ago, a client who has long since become a friend, invited me to his wedding.
I was sitting with my wife and a coach on my team and it became clear that his friends who were also seated on our table had heard about our “Psychological Switch” approach to coaching… probably because my client raves about it.
At one point a lady on the table asked something like:
“So what exactly do you do? Is it like positive thinking or something?”
And then I said a few words about what I do.
In about 3 short sentences, I explained the impact that “The Psychological Switch” (my coaching method) has on people.
And as the words came out of my mouth, jaws dropped.
It was like there was an immediate acknowledgement by everyone who was listening that: this guy is for real and he knows his stuff.
Her immediate reaction was:
“I'm in. That sounds amazing. Where do I sign up?”
And that is a small example that points to the power of what you might call:
“Magnetic Messaging”
It's being so congruent and certain about the impact your coaching has on people, that you can talk about it off-the-cuff and it hits home with whoever is in front of you.
When I explained what my work does for people, it wasn't a pre-rehearsed script with precise wording.
In fact, I'm not even going to tell you exactly what I said, because that would be missing the point. It doesn't matter what I said. What matters is: what's your message? What do you want people to know about the work that you do, so that it resonates, hits the mark with them logically and emotionally… and leads them to want to immediately take the next step with you to become your client?
Here's an even better question:
Do you think this wedding incident occurred before… or after I received some highly valuable training on Magnetic Messaging and attracting 5 Star Clients from my friend and business coach, Jeanna Gabilini…?
