Why my wife said NO to coaching?

by Mamoon Support

A few weeks ago, my wife had an introductory coaching session with a coach who is a specialist in helping twin moms.

It was a match made in heaven… or so I thought.

After going through the introductory session, towards the end, my wife said to the coach, “Thank you so much. I'll think about it and get back to you.” The session ended and within two minutes, she had firmly, resolutely decided that she absolutely will not hire the coach in question.

What happened? What went wrong? And why did my wife say “I'll think about it” if she really meant no.

Well, the truth is, during the session with the coach in front of her she was more like 50-50 about joining.

However, it wasn't a 100% definite yes, and there was no urgency to join the programme. And ultimately, as I've mentioned in a previous article, the coach did not know the simple Client Signup System.

So the session was a little bit of random coaching, where the coach asked some good overall general coaching questions, but not the exact questions that will naturally lead the client (in this case my wife) to absolutely KNOW that they need support of a coach.

Why did my wife said think about it? Because she wasn't sure. Why wasn't she sure?

Because the coach didn’t deliver the strong, powerful introductory session that naturally leads the client to believe that the coach can handle it, no matter what Rachida throws at her, when it comes to the real in-depth coaching work that they would need to do together.

My biggest takeaway from hearing my wife's experiences was this:

When clients say, “I'll think about it”, or “I need to speak with my husband”, nine times out of 10 that really is just a polite way of saying no.

That's why, as part of my system for enrolling clients, I make sure that at the end of the session, the client actually says no, or agrees to me saying no to us working together.

I'll say something like:

“I don't like to leave things in limbo. So for now, let's just say that this is a definite no. And if at some point in the future, you want to work together, it will be at the regular rate and without any of the bonuses we talked about today, but you're more than welcome to apply again in the future. Does that sound good?” Great.

You can almost hear the client’s relief when you do this… and at the same time you’re upholding your fees and bonus package offer, AND you’re taking away all the awkward energy of leaving the session on a ‘maybe’… then wondering if you should be following up.

I would much rather the client say no than say I'll think about it. And keep me in limbo. Limbo isn't good for relationships. It isn't good for life decisions, and it's definitely not good for coaching.

Do you really need a niche?

by Mamoon

You might not know this… but I have a super-power.

I can talk with a coach from anywhere in the world and within about 5 minutes (10 if they take a while to get to the point), I can help them identify their ‘Perfect Niche’.

Over the last decade I’ve helped literally hundreds of coaches figure out their ideal niche – and they always leave the session in awe and totally inspired to serve their ideal audience.

What I discovered over time is that it’s not always the same ‘technique’ or niche-nailing idea or concept that works for everyone. Somewhere over the years, due to a lot of experience as a business coach and working with thousands of coaches, I figured out the ‘hidden’ keys or rules that you can listen to and see if it applies to you and your situation.

It turns out, there are 21 ‘laws’ of niching. I didn’t plan it that way, it just turned out that way when I sat down to write them all out. It’s virtually guaranteed that one of these laws (you don’t always need all 21 – sometimes just one or two does the trick and gives you the clarity you need).

Plus, one of the laws is about what to do if you don’t want a niche for your marketing materials.

In today’s video, I’m going to share with you 1 of these 21 laws of niching. Here’s what you’ll discover…

  • A powerful, crystal clear criteria for identifying your audience that makes it super simple to find them on or off-line

  • The #1 mistake coaches make when defining their audience that over complicates matters and limits the potential of your niche

  • The only 2 key elements you need to clarify your niche in your mind (and for your audience) that makes creating marketing materials a piece of cake

  • And much, much more …

The 5 Hard, Complicated Steps To Get Clients Slow

by Mamoon Support

As much as I believe making money and getting clients can be a fun and easy game, here’s a reality check:

For most people, it starts out slow and hard.

There’s nothing intrinsically “hard” about it. It’s not like building an engine or brain surgery. It’s certainly not as hard as the barista works in my local Starbucks.

After all, to be a successful coach all you’ll ever have to do is type and talk into a laptop….

However, it does require a few skills you may not have yet, so it can seem hard and complex in the beginning.

But here’s the thing:

So what if it’s hard in the beginning…?

“Any change worth making is hard in the beginning, messy in the middle and beautiful in the end.”
—Robin Sharma

The point of the Never Ending Stream Of Clients system is that you set things up right from the start so that after a few weeks of hard work… it becomes easier and easier to sign up clients.

And within a few weeks (maybe a few months if you really take your time with it), it happens almost on auto-pilot.

Here are the 5 specific skills that make getting clients on autopilot fun and easy – without which it will be hard, difficult and probably never happen:

  1. Website Copy – Specifically the words that go on your website that make people want to sign up to your email list. (Get this right and your ads and other marketing collateral practically writes itself)

  2. Content Creation – Specifically, how to craft a simple, but powerful webinar or video presentation that gets your message across and gets people wanting to hire you as their coach

  3. Introductory “Breakthrough” Sessions – you could be the best coach in the world, but if you don’t know how to sign up clients, that skill will get rusty and go to waste.

  4. The Inspiring Emails – there’s a reason you’re still reading this 😉 Nail this skill and you can have a 10-minute workday, where any time you want clients, you send out an email… and voila! A few new potential clients appear in your calendar later this week

  5. The Win-Win Partnerships – when you know how, it’s fun and easy to get everyone you know to promote you. When you don’t know how, it can be awkward and people will think you’re desperate and needy… and you won’t get much traction

Here’s the good news.

All of these skills are totally transferable and totally learnable. AND, with my support, I’ll do the hardest bits for you at the beginning and make sure your work is excellent, before you launch it publically.

And after it’s set up, and you get through the “slow, hard” part of developing the skills and setting up the system… the fast, easy, fun-to-work-with clients start showing up week after week.

You don’t have to be great to start… but you do have to start to be great.

That Friday Feeling…

by Mamoon Support

Today, I'm on vacation.

However, most of the year, on a Friday I'm at my desk, talking to new potential clients who are fans of me and my work, are pre-sold on working with me and are ready to sign-up to my coaching programs.

I still take them through a very specific sequence of questions and do an ‘intake' session, in a very thorough way, to make sure they come into my program the right way and we're all on the same page.

But, to the most part, it's a delight.

I get to choose who I work with.

I get to set the prices I want for my coaching.

I get to fill up my group coaching programs.

And I never need to ‘think' about what to do and say during these sessions.

Instead, I breeze through the day, knowing that I'll likely start the weekend with a ‘raise'. Again.

That's why I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Friday Feeling!

Because I follow the Never Ending Stream Of Clients system, every Friday I talk with 3 potential clients and sign them up into my high-end coaching programs.

It's a joy to deliver the group coaching. It's a joy to fill up and deliver the introductory sessions. And it's a joy to have more money pouring into my business every week.

If you want your coaching business to be a joyful experience of constantly increasing wealth, riches and joyful transformation, get started here:

Let me do your marketing for you?

by Mamoon Support

Yesterday I shared some ideas on ‘Fun Maths'.

Today, we're got that ‘Friday Feeling'

And all that got me thinking…

Why not let me do your ‘homework' for you?

For most coaches, marketing is the hard, boring, challenging, ‘homework' part of growing a thriving coaching business.

Not for me. I know this might be weird… but for me it's actually as fun… maybe even MORE fun than coaching itself. It didn't start out that way. When I began my business over a decade ago, marketing was a ‘necessary evil' I had to learn about in order to get clients coming through the door.

But, now, it's every bit as rewarding and fulfilling as coaching people, because I see marketing and sales as being an equally important part of someone's transformation.

After all, if they don't hear about you… and never have the opportunity to sign up with you… they'll never get to be coached by you and have their life transformed!

However, as much as I enjoy marketing and sing its praises… I know a lot of coaches don't… yet. So for now, why not let me do it for you? Or more accurately, with you.

When you join Never Ending Stream Of Clients, you get one full year of access to me in monthly group sessions… where I literally WRITE your marketing materials for you… while everyone in the group watches, learns, and improves their own ability to write marketing materials. It becomes a virtuous cycle where everyone gets better and better at this key skill every session.

Plus, you'll get to skip out on all the marketing materials and strategies that a lot of coaches THINK they need, but in the end wastes a LOT of time and money – because they never actually lead to clients.

In the past, I've written marketing materials and consulted for ‘big names' like Christian Mickelsen, Eben Pagan, Rob Goyette, and a few other well-known coaches and internet marketers… but when you sign up, you'll get my eyes and my brain working for YOU instead.

Those peeps managed to do a few million-dollar launches when I worked with them.

What will you do with my support and marketing magic…?

The easy way to fill a Group Coaching program

by Mamoon Support

A question from a subscriber, after watching the Never Ending Stream Of Clients web-class:

“I am a former psychotherapist reinvented as a “coach”. I am NOT interested in having a busy practice of individual clients. I am only interested in doing group coaching. How would your program apply ONLY to that?”

Super-easy.

Most of my income comes from group coaching, not 1-to-1 coaching (although I do like to keep a handful of 1-to-1 clients at any given time, just to keep my skills sharp… and because it's super fun for me!)

The way to do it is…

Follow the 5-step Never Ending Stream Of Clients system exactly as it is.

When it comes to the ‘Breakthrough Session' part, which is taught in detail in Step 3, simply invite the 3 individuals you talk with each week to join your Group Coaching program, instead of inviting them to work with you 1-to-1.

Yes – when you use my system, you'll set yourself up with 3 new potential client session every week, all year round, unless you're on vacation. On average that will give you one new client each week and likely more, depending on your niche, audience and price-point (all explained in detail in the program).

I'd recommend you even consider charging the same amount for your group as you would have for your 1-to-1 coaching, if you decide to eliminate the 1-to-1 option altogether (…mainly because most coaches undercharge for their services and dramatically underestimate the perceived value of Group Coaching).

Clients tend to get roughly the same results in a group as they do via 1-to-1 coaching… and often even better! Plus, you can choose to make it a whole lot more affordable, so your sign-up rate goes through the roof, while your dollar per hour rate becomes obscenely high… and your calendar gets completely freed up.

(And I LOVE it!)

There are more tips on this inside the program, including what to do if the person you're talking with is the first and ONLY group member… that results in them not thinking it's weird, or awkward… and actually profusely thanking you for signing them up.

But for now, think about this…

1 Group Coaching session per week. 3 Introductory sessions per week.

Total time: 5 hours. Total income: sky's the limit.

If you keep your group to only 20 people and charge only $500 per month…

You've hit $10K per month, working less than 1 day per week.

That's a real life example of How Rich Coaches Think. And here's a real-life program that will get you there:
